Industrial Artifacts Project, Kitchener - Display
The Kitchener Industrial Artifacts Project was initiated by Nicholas Rees in 1996 as part of the City of Kitchener's Culture Plan. The most visible element of the Kitchener Industrial Artifacts Project is the placement of unique pieces of antique machinery at selected sites within the community both indoors and outdoors. Some of the sites displaying these pieces of machinery are at Kitchener City Hall, the Registry Theatre and Globe Studios as well as outdoors on the Iron Horse Trail, Forest Heights Community Centre/Fire Hall. The one shown on this slide is located at the Mike Wagner Green on Mill St. The Foundation supported the restoration of this industrial press donated by Mitchell Plastics Limited in Kitchener.
